HEM Executive

HEM Executive Programme is a unique offer for leaders at Swiss universities. It is designed both to promote individual leadership skills and to further develop cooperation in the Swiss higher education sector. The focus is on learning together at eye level.

The modules are orchestrated by the HEM programme management and moderated by experts, supplemented by input from specialists from the respective fields. In addition, we offer the opportunity to go on international study trips to deepen one’s own expertise and expand professional and personal networks.

Ultimately, our goal is to offer participants a holistic programme that supports them in their personal and professional development.

Leadership-Topics

Target audience
The HEM Executive Programme is an exclusive offer for HEM members. Participants are employed in a leadership position (university management, sub-university management, management of institutes, departments or study programmes) at a member university. As leaders, they are involved in higher education development and are familiar with governance and leadership issues.

Organisation
The HEM Executive Programme lasts 18 months. The individual modules last 3 days each, the study trip between 7-10 days (depending on the chosen destination).

The modules are held in various seminar hotels in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland as well as in Ticino. Depending on the possibilities, we also meet at universities. Accommodation and meals are organised by HEM.

The languages of the events are generally German and French, with exceptions also English.

Costs
The costs for the HEM Executive are CHF 6’300.– (tariff 2024; programme costs incl. seminar flat rates for 4 modules). In addition, there are any accommodation costs (approx. CHF 480.–/module) as well as the costs for the study trip (approx. CHF 3’000–5’500.–; depending on the destination).

The total costs for the full HEM Executive programme thus amount to CHF 11’000–13’500.– (including meals, accommodation and study trip).
